"Fools Gold" is about a Jew and a Latino' from a small Oklahoma town who commit an accidental crime and find themselves on the road. On their journey they meet a couple of roadside nutcracking girls, are chased (sort of) by an emotionally unbalanced FBI agent, and end up penniless but free (at least for now), having tested the boundaries of their friendship and confronted their own unconscious prejudices.
