Palm Beach International Film Festival Appoints New Board Members

PALM BEACH, FL., November 20, 2006 – The 12th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival is proud to announce the newest editions to their Board, Pier Bjorkland, Brad Goldfarb, Greg Hauptner, Donald Lanman and Douglas Rill.

Pier S. Bjorklund is a seasoned corporate development executive, entrepreneur and co-founder of EMG Media Group, a media marketing company specializing in radio, television, internet and print production and distribution. Pier is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Inc. (NARAS), Florida chapter. He has participated on several NARAS panels including Grammy in the Schools program and the Music Industry Summit 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 focusing on digital distribution and Internet marketing.

Brad Goldfarb is a First Vice President-Investments and Wealth Management Advisor of Merrill Lynch’s West Boca Raton office. He is a music and sports enthusiast, an active member of The National Academy of Recording Sciences (GRAMMYS) and represents clients in the National Hockey League (NHL). In addition, he is a member of various social and charitable organizations in South Florida.

Greg Hauptner is the Founder/President/CEO of the G-STAR School of the Arts for Motion Pictures and Broadcasting. He produced five films in Palm Beach County, with locations shot in Los Angeles and Miami; the most recent starring Burt Reynolds, Erika Elaniak and Willliam Forsythe. He is also a Founding Member of the Board of Directors of the Community Broadcast Foundation of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast (CBF).

Donald Lanman has held senior management positions in marketing, public relations, electronic media, advertising, television and radio production for leading international firms. He is a recognized industry expert in the areas of strategic marketing communications, targeted advertising and power public relations. Currently, he resides on several boards including the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission and the Burt Reynolds Film Institute to name a couple.

Douglas Rill is a leading agent at Century 21 America’s Choice with over $100 million in personal sales. Serving the community and the industry since 1973, he has held many distinquished posts, on the Film and Televsion Commission and as the President of CENTURY 21 Treasure/Palm Beach Council. Also, he is the host of Real Estate Talk on WJNO 1290AM.
