GENERAL HOSPITAL STAR TRISTAN ROGERS TO HOST PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL GALA
Daytime Star to Host Red-Carpet Event and World Premiere of his film, Opportunity Knocks
PALM BEACH, FL., March 19, 2007 The Palm Beach International Film Festival has announced today that Tristan Rogers, star of the popular ABC daytime drama General Hospital, will be the host of the 2007 Grand Gala and Awards Reception for the 12th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival. The premiere event of the festival will take place on Saturday, April 21st at 7:00pm at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.
For years he dazzled audiences as spy-turned-supersleuth Robert Scorpio, General Hospitals Tristan Rogers was quietly proceeding with a "secret mission" of his own, making his own mark in film, which he has accomplished admirably, said Randi Emerman, Executive Director of the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Were grateful to have such a quintessential talent as Tristan to host the 2007 Grand Gala and Awards Reception.
Gala attendees will partake in honoring the achievements of some of the most respected talents in the motion picture industry. Ticket prices range from $500 to $1,000. Tristan Rogers is best known for his role as Robert Scorpio on General Hospital; he has been nominated for two Soap Opera Digest Awards and won a Soapy Award for Most Exciting New Actor. Tristan Rogers fans can also enjoy the World Premiere of his latest film Opportunity Knocks starring local actress Suzanne Niedland playing together with A Lobster Tale on Friday, April 20th at The Theater, the newly renovated space by Fantasma Productions at 854 Conniston Road, West Palm Beach.
