Official Oscar Night® Party to Benefit The Palm Beach International Film Festival & Take Charge Cure Parkinson's!

PALM BEACH, FL - December, 2006 – The Palm Beach International Film Festival and Cure Parkinson’s Inc. are thrilled to announce that they have been officially sanctioned as an official Oscar Night (R) America event. This gala affair, graciously hosted by Bogart’s Bar and Grille at the Premier Level at Muvico Palace 20 in Boca Raton will take place on Sunday, February 25, 2007 in conjunction with the live telecast of the 79th Annual Academy Awards (R).

“We spend all year working with the major and independent studios as well as with talented industry professionals from around the world, so we always eagerly anticipate Oscar Night which recognizes Hollywood’s many achievements,” explained Randi Emerman, Executive Director of the Palm Beach International Film Festival. “We are honored to have been chosen to participate in this glamorous party that celebrates excellence in cinema.”

Ticket prices range from $100 to $300 and include Red Carpet Arrival Cocktail Party, gourmet dinner, Premiere Level and theater level seating to view the telecast on the big screen. Tickets for the event go on sale in conjunction with the Nominations Announcement, which takes place Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. EST. Proceeds will benefit the Palm Beach International Film Festival and Cure Parkinson’s. Additional sponsors include the Palm Beach Post, Bogart’s Bar and Grille and Muvico Palace 20.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements for 2006 will be presented on February 25, 2007, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 8 p.m. EST. Comedian Ellen DeGeneres with host the event.
